Rev. Darline Jocie Philistin-Abelard serves as Vice President of AWML, bringing extensive experience in human rights advocacy, community education, and support for women and children affected by sexual violence.

Her work in Haiti has included service with the United Nations–Organization of American States International Civilian Mission and work with the Bureau des Avocats Internationaux and KOFAVIV. She founded the Yahweh-Rapha Foundation to educate young people and engage faith communities in preventing sexual abuse and supporting survivors. In 2014, she participated in the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict in London, bringing attention to the experiences and needs of survivors in Haiti.

As AWML’s Vice President, Rev. Darline Jocie Philistin-Abelard brings this background in advocacy and community engagement to her leadership, grounded in a commitment to dignity, justice, and empowerment.

Sherly Dhaiti serves as Treasurer of AWML. A licensed master social worker specializing in pediatric social work, she brings a background in supporting children and families to her leadership role. She is also the co-founder of Institution Heritage Chretienne, a K–9 Christian school in Clisan, Haiti. She received her education at the University of Connecticut and speaks French Creole. As Treasurer, Sherly helps oversee AWML’s finances and supports responsible stewardship of the organization’s resources.

Anne Florian is a registered nurse in Connecticut who serves as an advisor to AWML. She brings a nursing perspective to the organization’s planning and development, offering guidance informed by her healthcare background. In her advisory role, Anne supports AWML’s leadership as it advances the organization’s mission and plans for the future.
